It’s simple really, we love bread.

Our bakery was born from a love of bread. It all started with the simple gift of a 3-day bread making course in Devon. This sparked a passion for baking, creating and of course sampling the many loaves you can find on our bread counter today.

In 2009 Mark Newman founded Mark’s Bread as a small artisan bakery on North Street. Today we’re an award-winning bakery and café still working with the same values, creating high quality produce using only the best local ingredients.

Our unique and thriving café space sits right next to our bakery, developed from what was originally a car repair garage. It’s a space that regularly transforms from a café to a baking school, a pop up pizza restaurant or the perfect spot for an afternoon tea with friends.

We are proud to be a part of the local community here in Bristol. You can find our bread in 24 specially-selected local restaurants and shops around Bristol, delivered daily around the city by bicycle.
