South Bristol Sourdough

This is a levain or sourdough bread made without commercial yeast and proved slowly in linen lined wicker baskets.

It is our ‘piece de resistance’.

The ambient yeast and bacteria within the levain that raise and flavour the loaf will naturally differ from one area to another, bringing subtle differences in the finished loaf. This is why we call our levain bread ‘South Bristol Sourdough’
